LED Photo Therapy

PhotoLUX is a pediatric phototherapy unit, which is used to reduce the Bilirubin count in neonate jaundice. The unit has the Blue/Green LED strategically placed on the unit with a wavelength of 465~520 nm. The unit is of high quality acrylic plastic/powder coated Aluminum.
The unit is highly safe for the neonate and is absolutely safe for the baby as there is no need to cover up the eyes of the baby with a dark cloth. The unit does not emit any kind of heat.
The electrocution or any possibility of electric shock is zero as the unit is completely sealed. The unit consumes power of about 9 watts, which is far below than any other conventional phototherapy units. The unit has the unique advantage that the irradiance of the Blue/Green light being about 35 µW/cm2/nm* as the unit being very close to the neonate. It’s a feather in the crown that AIIMS has extensively tested our product and gave a report. It’s a privilege that for the first time in India such an extensive testing is done on any kind of medical devices/products manufactured by an Indian company that over 272 babies in each center across the country were treated using the system.
